He’s hit the crossbar!

Another great turnout this week, thanks to all who came.
The club now have their own training bibs, this helps us distinguish teams when we play (particularly the colour blind among us).
Three teams played this week, with currently injured Ray Parker taking over refereeing duties from (a now fit) George Muir, thanks again, Ray.
Once again, the team selection was on point, no high scores, we even had a 0-0 game. The highest scoring game finished 3-2.

All teams played really well with very few running incidents or fouls.

Special mentions this week go to – Mike Muir for his passing and goals (came on as a sub, his first touch was a goal). Stuart Cargill for not moaning and having a great few games. Lastly, but not least, Jake Ferrier for showing some quality touches and for some fine saves when he was in goals.

After the matches this week, we had a ‘crossbar challenge’ competition. Some players were really close, some were not so close. But, cometh the hour, cometh the man, and up stepped Pete Bell. Pete wasn’t sure if he wanted to take part or not, he went last and nailed it. Well done Pete, A bottle of your favourite tipple will be presented to you next week.

Spot the ball. Put your x where you think the ball is for a special prize.

    • Now now. You stepped up and took your shot like everyone else. That was the challenge and you won it. Not a fluke.
