An historical night

Thanks to all who turned up tonight, and a big thanks to those of you who contacted us to say that you wouldn’t be there.
Another good night in our new indoor home, We didn’t have enough players for 3 teams, so it was going to be hard going for all the players as there were no breaks to be had.

Plenty of goals were scored, and George Muir not only scored his first ever walking football goal, Continue reading

Business as usual

Thanks to all who played in the Christmas friendly tournament in Carnoustie.
Four teams took part in what was a well organised 2 hour mini tournament, two from Arbroath walking football and two from Carnoustie Panmure walking football. The Carnoustie teams came out top, their fast passing and movement were too much Continue reading

Carnoustie Panmure Christmas friendly

On Wednesday the 21st December, we have been invited to play a Christmas friendly against the Carnoustie Panmure walking football club. The venue is the leisure centre on links parade and is from 18.00 to 20.00. There will be nibbles afterwards, and if anyone fancies going out for a beer with the Carnoustie lads after the friendly, you will be made more than welcome.
It’s hoped that we can all meet at the leisure centre in Carnoustie circa 17.30. If you’re going to be running a bit late, that’s fine, just come when you can, we should have enough players to get things started at at 6.

First night

Great turnout tonight, thanks to all who turned up.
Firstly, big thanks to Ray Parker, he’s currently out of action for a few weeks but gave up his his time to make sure it all went well on the first night. Not only that, he volunteered to ref as well. Cheers Ray.
We had no clearly defined boxes in front of goals (this will be rectified by next week), this caused confusion and led to the rules being adjusted a couple of times. Once the temp rules were in place, a great night of football followed with close games and some good finishing.
Men of the match were – Darin Bell and Dave Beattie. Big shout out for Dinker Mostyn, almost unbeatable in goals yet again.
