A game of 3 halves

Work, injury, illness and auld age were to blame for the missing faces from lasts nights game.
However, we managed the hour with 2 teams and subs.
Bob Millar is still carrying an injury and once again took to the whistle to officiate, thanks Bob, it’s appreciated by all (despite the moaning from the usual suspects).

The team selection method is still proving to be a winner as the teams were very evenly matched, there was never any more than two goals in it, end to end stuff with great passing moves. Our newest members, Mike Burnett and Dave Whitton have fitted in well, both showing some nice touches last night.
Pete Bell had a man of the match performance with some great saves, Alan Harrison also had a man of the match performance.
Big shout outs for George Muir and Ray Parker, George was really unfortunate not hit the back of the net, whilst Ray grabbed his first hat trick, all cracking goals as well.

Great show, lads.
We wish all those currently ill or suffering from injury, a speedy recovery.

Davie Spalding showing some great ball control last night.

Fun in the sun

I asked about this a while back, but the reception it got was a bit tepid. So, I’m going to throw it out there again.
If you’re interested, leave a comment, if you’re not interested, leave a comment.
It would be October and we’d only need 7 players, not expecting to win, just expecting good craic, a few beers and a chance to take part in a fairly well run event.
oh! Food and drink is included in the price and you can bring your family (if you like).
