Man City & Kingsmaid Walking Football Europa Cup in Cambrils, Salou, Spain April 2018

The latest details of the Man City – Kingsmaid Walking Football ‘Europa Cup’ tournament to be held at the superb Cambrils Park Sport Village in Salou Spain from Thursday 19th April to Monday 23rd April or Tuesday 24th April 2018.

We already have some top excellent entries from Clubs in England and Spain, so please speak to your group of players as it promises to be a fantastic event at a really good venue in the sun!

This is a purpose-built sports venue, specialising in Football with Villas, Apartments and Bungalows on site. The resort also has swimming, tennis and all types of cycling facilities. There are also relaxation facilities with a Spa and Gym.

It’s ideally located near the airports of Reus (15 min transfer) and Barcelona (50 mins on train or coach). The village of Cambrils and the Seaside Resort of Salou are beautiful places, with plenty of restaurants and fantastic beaches. Barcelona needs no introduction.

There will be 4 walking football competitions, Over 50’s, Over 60’s, Over 65’s and a further Over 50’s on the Monday. All 6 a side games on state of the art 4G pitches with proper 5 a side goals (not futsal)!

Arrive Thursday, play Friday & Sunday. Monday offers the choice of going home, staying and relaxing or playing in a further 1-day tournament. If you stay Monday then you leave Tuesday.

All games will be refereed to FA Walking Football Rules (with the odd tweak, or tweaks to reduce the physical contact and to make sure it is WALKING FOOTBALL.

Saturday will be a free day to relax and enjoy the facilities of the resort, play tennis, golf, go on a bike ride or sight see natural areas such as the Ebro Delta or the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona. Barcelona are playing Villareal at home whilst we are there and I’m looking into a trip for this.

There will be a player entry fee of £40 for the football tournament and accommodation prices will start from circa €50 per night (villa or apartment). Prices will include breakfast and lunch.

Rest of UK Team & Rest of Europe Team for individual entry. If you don’t belong to a club or your club is not coming to Salou then you can still play for our Rest of UK team or Rest of Europe Team. These teams will be made up of individual players, and we will work with you to get the best-balanced team possible. The player entry fee is £60 for the ‘Rest of…’ teams.

Prices etc. will be firmed up during our forthcoming visit.
