  1. Sounds like a good competition. My concern is we will be drawn in a “whole of Scotland” draw. You’ll have 2 weeks to organise and play a game. What venue can we use if we are the host? Condor is probably not an option. What about us guys under 50 years of age?

    • I’ve spoken to Ray about this before, if we give plenty of notice, it should be ok. As for the age thing, the majority are over 50 now.

  2. As the main letter says the competition will be split into zones (Scotland is a zone). The games can be played indoor or outdoor. Mike Muir- you can be physio/manager/coach driver (as you are under age) 😉 – will find out more about other teams entered once we find out if we can put a team together

    Welcome to the TRA Scotland National Walking Football Leagues Non- contact North and South!!! Over 50s leagues and Over 60s leagues.
    Hello to all Managers, Players, Organisers and Club Secretaries, after a very successful start to the England National league, we have been contacted by many managers and players who want to join the Scotland National League and we have took on the thoughts of all and we are happy to bring you the first ever national league.
    How the Leagues will work.
    The North national league will be held at Soccer World, Old Glamis Road, Dundee DD3 8LF, and the south national league will be held at Goals Glasgow West, 2650 Great Western Road, Clydebank, G81 2XT. The top 4 in the North and South will meet in a one-day Champions of Scotland Finals day in a round robin tournament between the 8 teams to be crowned the Scotish national champions. The top 4 sides from this tournament will receive cash prizes. There will be £1000 for the overall champions of the North, £500 for 2nd place £300 for 3rd and £200 for 4th, this is to help clubs to get new kit or equipment or maybe to help pay for venues for your clubs sessions. There will be trophies to be won in both leagues, Top goal scorer, golden glove, fair play award and referee award.
    Once the National super leagues in Scotland is established we will then organise and bring together the National leagues in Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales to develop a one day UK Champions of Champions Cup. then why not go into Europe in the future.
    This is a strictly over 50s and over 60s walking football leagues. Non contact. It will be 6 aside, with a maximum of 10 players per team on the day but can register as many players as you like. It will take place once a month on a Sunday morning. The league will be a 16 to 20 teams league and each team will play 3 different teams for 20 mins straight, that’s 1 hour of football per team! The cost of each month is £50 per team.
    The first 16 to 20 teams entered will make the Super league and the next 16 to 20 will make the Championship and will use the 4 teams Relegation and Promotion. First come first served basis, so please be quick to register. Please excuse me but no time wasters please, this is a serious league!
    Start date will be the following month once all teams have registered, so please register as quick as you can as places will not be held.
    What to do next!
    If you are serious to join the biggest leagues in the UK please fill in the team registration form with the entry fee to guarantee your place. Only once the signed contract and entry fee has been received, your club will be registered.
