The first Tuesday night walking football taster session at Seaton park went well. With players now allowed to have a kick about, that’s exactly what they did.
The session also saw the return of two former Arbroath walking football players. Dennis (Dinker) Mostyn was making his return after being forced to give up due to health issues. One quadruple bypass surgery later, and he’s back, Dinker still has a nice touch and hasn’t forgotten where the goal is.
Davie Spalding was returning after a long injury layoff. Just like Dinker, Davie still has all the touches and also found the back of the net. Both players enjoyed the session and were happy to be back playing.
The Tuesday night walking football sessions are aimed at anyone (male or female) over 50 who fancy having a kick about, a bit of exercise, and having fun. We are not so strict about the age, particularly if you’re recovering from an injury etc.
These sessions are run and organised by Arbroath FC Community Trust. The sessions are held at Seaton park from 6-7 on a Tuesday night. If you are interested and have any questions –
