Arbroath Walking Football sent a team to Kirkaldy to compete in the Christmas Cup, a tournament organised by Raith Rovers Walking Football Club.
Arbroath kicked off the tournament with a 1- 1 draw against Linlithgow, the last kick of the ball resulted in a goal for Gordon (Gogs) Smith earning the draw.

After some confusion with the scores, AWF finished top of their group with a +1 goal difference and would face Raith Rovers in the semi-final.
In the semi-final, the Arbroath team stepped up a gear and beat Raith Rovers by 4 goals to nil. Great result!
Arbroath faced Braehead in the final. This was a very tight match, with both teams showing why they were in the final. The Braehead side won the game by 2 goals to 1, Wully Craib scoring for the Arbroath side.
It was a great showing by the Arbroath side, and it also established AWF as one of the top teams in the region.
Impossible to single any individual out for praise; from the management and organisation to the players, this was a solid team effort.
AWF would like to thank the tournament organisers for a great day out and another very well organised tournament.
